The last racing day of Balkan Classic Rallye 2018 offered to the competitors 4 special stages. Before the finish, there was a lot of drama, but finally the things were clear in the afternoon.
For second consecutive day, Geof Bell and Mattias Adielson (Datsun) were the fastest on the track and this helped them to climb on the second position in the overall ranking. But not enough to beat Bertrand Pierrat and Andree Hansen (Porsche) who became the big winners of Balkan Classic Rallye 2018.
For Bertrand this was the first rally of such type, but he can count on the “iron lady” Andree Hansen, who made her 3rd Balkan Classic. The French-Luxembourg duo finally finished with 09:39 minutes in front of Bell and Adielson. Third place on the podium was for the winner of Balkan Classic 2016 Andrew Siddal, co-piloted by Gary McElhinney, also with Datsun.
With their fastest time, Pierrat and Ahnsen took the win in Class 3 (engines up to 3000 cc). In class 2 (up to 2000 cc), with their 8th position in the overall, the fastest were Patrick an Jack Van Heurck (ford Escort MK1). Finally, in the class 1 (up to 1600 cc) on the top were Michael Steindl and Hannes Schitz (Ford Cortina).
